According to HuffPost, "On game day, the average American will, reportedly, ingest at least 2,400 calories during the four to five hour viewing party." That's well above the amount of calories recommended for 24 hours."
Some of the numbers are just staggering. 11.2 million pounds of potato chips are eaten in the four-hour period. 8.2 million pounds of tortilla chips are consumed.
